U.S. Announces Team for Aachen Nations Cup CDIO5*

Lexington, Ky. – June 30, 2016 – The United States will field a team of four athlete-horse combinations for the upcoming Nations Cup competition in Aachen, Germany, July 13-17. In addition, three athlete-horse combinations will compete in the accompanying CDI4*.

The U.S. currently leads the Nations Cup standings with four events in the series complete and two still to come. Along with the Aachen CDIO5*, Falsterbo (Sweden) will host a CDIO5* July 7-10. Sweden is in second place, and the Netherlands moved up the leaderboard after their victory at Rotterdam to sit in third place, tied with France.

The Aachen Nations Cup CDIO5* team includes:

Katherine Bateson Chandler (Wellington, Florida) and Jane Forbes Clark’s Alcazar, an 11-year-old KWPN gelding

Shelly Francis (Loxahatchee, Florida) with Patricia Stempel’s Doktor, a 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding

Arlene “Tuny” Page (Wellington, Florida) and her own Woodstock, a 13-year-old KWPN gelding

Steffen Peters (San Diego, California) with Four Winds Farm’s Rosamunde, a 9-year-old Rheinlander mare

Competing in the CDI4* at Aachen will be:

Shelly Francis (Loxahatchee, Florida) with Patricia Stempel’s Danilo, a 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding

Kasey Perry-Glass (Orangevale, California) with Diane Perry’s Goerklintgaards Dublet, a 13-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding

Steffen Peters (San Diego, California) with Four Winds Farm’s Legolas 92, a 14-year-old Westphalian gelding
