Rancho Murieta, CA – April 11, 2016 – Charlotte Jorst has been racking up miles on the road lately, but the travel hasn’t slowed her down a bit. After concluding a busy season in Wellington, Florida, she headed to Gothenburg, Sweden, with Kastel’s Nintendo for the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Final at the end of March. Just two weeks later, she headed down centerline again at the Golden State Dressage CDI3* in Rancho Murieta, California, sweeping all three large tour classes with Kastel’s Akeem Foldager and her World Cup partner Kastel’s Nintendo.

Jorst and Nintendo notched a score of 68.4 percent to claim Friday’s Grand Prix over two horses ridden by Kathleen Raine: Zuperman, who was second, and Breanna, who finished third. Jorst also rode Akeem Foldager to fourth place in the class.

Akeem Foldager took first place in Saturday’s Grand Prix Freestyle, scoring 72.3 percent, and Nintendo stepped up Sunday for the win in the Grand Prix Special with a score of 70.255 percent.

In the small tour at the Golden State Dressage CDI3*, Christine Ekstrand picked up wins in both the Prix St. Georges (68.711 percent) and Intermediaire I Freestyle (72.417 percent) with her own Concetta. Jennifer Schrader-Williams had the edge on Ekstrand in the Intermediaire I, taking first place on her own HS Wrevolution with a score of 68.292 percent.

Also earning international wins over the weekend at Rancho Murieta were Genay Vaughn and Donarweiss GGF (Under 25 Grand Prix), Samantha Jenney and Flarinus (Young Rider Team and Individual), Lily Bennett and Stentano (Junior Team), Annie Ray and Calvin Klein (Junior Individual), and Vanessa Becker and Veron (Intermediaire I for Amateurs and Intermediaire I Freestyle for Amateurs).

Alix Curry won the Prix St. Georges for Amateurs with Don Frederic and both the Intermediaire II and Grand Prix for Amateurs with Zeta. Sir Amour, ridden by Cyndi Jackson, and Silberpfeil, ridden by David Wightman, also took home blue ribbons as the sole competitors in the 5-year-old and 6-year-old divisions, respectively.
